The IT security section of the Police includes both defensive and offensive capabilities such as PM-CERT, incident investigation, penetration testing, and threat hunting. There are also support functions for IAM, information security, and project support that all work closely together.
Job Description
As a penetration tester, you will be part of our pentest group, which is part of the Police CERT. The team primarily works to identify and evaluate vulnerabilities within the Police's IT environment. You will actively plan and conduct hacking attacks against the police's IT environments and systems.
Working as a penetration tester with us requires a broad skill set, as we test everything from IT infrastructure, web applications, and IoT devices such as Smart TVs and spy cameras. Of course, we also test police systems related to crime records and police cars, etc.
You will work closely with the police operations, and in addition to purely technical qualifications, it is also important to translate test results into relevant recommendations for the situation and to support changes in the IT environment. You will also participate in the group's red team activities.
The Police's pentest group consists of several individuals with many years of experience as penetration testers and IT security experts. The team has several CVEs from, among others, Apple and Microsoft.

Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Relevant education in the IT field or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority assesses as equivalent
- Relevant and current work experience and very good competence in conducting penetration tests in a complex IT environment
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Good skills and experience in application and web penetration testing
- Good skills and experience in IT infrastructure testing with a focus on Windows, Linux, and network infrastructure
- Skills in programming and scripting
- Experience participating in red team exercises
Personal Qualities
The tasks require that you have good analytical skills and the ability to structure your work independently. We prefer that you have good collaboration skills and communicate well in a group, as well as act in a trustworthy manner in internal and external contacts.
